Northumbrian Hill Lamb now in store!
For the second year running Rothbury Family Butchers are proud to be stocking the finest Local Northumbrian Hill Lambs available. All sourced from East Wingates Farm Northumberland.

Sourcing top quality LOCAL Lamb is very important at Rothbury family Butchers. The partnership I have with Local Hill Farmer Jimmy Bell works so well because he allows me to visit his Farm every Monday morning and hand pick the Lambs I want for the week. This ensures I get the best quality lambs every time and the size and weight I require for the week.
Wingates fresh lamb tastes superb because they:

Use only the finest quality Texel-cross lambs.
Use lambs from a non-intensively farmed upland pasture in Northumberland.
Avoid using chemicals or pesticides on their farm.
Give the minimal amount of medicines to their sheep and use homeopathic remedies where possible.
Hang their lamb for ten days as was the custom for traditional butchers.
